Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities beyond the reach of existing networks.

Do you want an opportunity to develop the software applications for an advanced global telecom service? The Customer Experience team owns all the consumer-facing surfaces for Amazon Leo, including the Leo website (leo.amazon.com), mobile apps, enterprise console, and developer SDKs. We are looking for a Software Development Manager to own mobile development for Leo. You will lead a team of mobile developers to build best-in-class telecommunications applications, work closely with product and business partners on the vision and roadmap, and deliver customer-facing features to Leo's global customer base.

Key job responsibilities
-Aid in the design and delivery of Telecom Components, Applications and Services.

-Work with our peer teams and stakeholders to design suitable software systems and interfaces to fulfill the customer needs.

-Develop a strategic plan for the growth of the team, both from a software services and organization perspective.

-Hire & Develop a diverse team of software engineers.

-Collaborate with your fellow team members to form a strong foundation for a software organization in Leo.

-Help on-board and mentor new team members.

A day in the life
You will work with Product Management and Business Stakeholders on defining the roadmap for Leo's customer lifecycle. You will own solving this for multiple customer segments and building software that is flexible for many different customers and countries.

About the team
The Leo Customer Experience team will own delivering delightful, consistent interfaces across the Leo application, Leo website, and .com, including the interplay between our app, customer terminal (CT), and the Indoor Unit (IDU).
