AWS Hong Kong is transforming how enterprises adopt AI, and we need a Business Design Specialist who can bridge the gap between executive vision and technical execution. While our customers are excited about GenAI possibilities, they struggle to translate business challenges into actionable AI solutions. This role exists to serve as a pre-sales consultant who uncovers transformation opportunities, designs agentic AI-enabled business processes from the user perspective, and delivers concrete requirements that our technical teams can implement.




Key job responsibilities
What You'll Deliver & Who You'll Work With

- Your key deliverables include business requirements documents, agentic AI process designs showing current vs. future state workflows, prioritized use case portfolios with ROI quantification, and comprehensive handoff packages.
- You'll collaborate closely with Solutions Architects (SA) and AI SSO specialists—you focus on what to build from the business perspective; they determine how to build technically.
- You'll also work with account teams, Training & Certification, and partner ecosystem members to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- You'll create and qualify the pipeline that drives revenue. Your success metrics include conversion rates from workshop to committed projects, pipeline influenced, and time-to-commit acceleration. By delivering better-qualified opportunities with clear business cases, you enable faster sales cycles and larger deal sizes—demonstrating measurable revenue influence through your consultative approach and design expertise.

A day in the life
You'll spend your time engaging C-suite executives in consultative discovery sessions, analyzing their business processes to identify where agentic AI can drive value, and facilitating multi-day workshops that generate prioritized use cases. A typical week might include: conducting a discovery session with a bank's COO to understand their operational challenges, designing a 2-day ideation workshop for a retail company's business users, delivering that workshop to 50-100 participants using tools like Quick Suite and Kiro, and then packaging the outputs—business requirements documents, process design specifications, and use case portfolios—into handoff materials for our Solutions Architects and SSO specialists to execute.
