Amazon is currently looking for a Safety Administrator to join our Middle Mile team at Amazon Transportation Services (ATS). The Safety Administrator will support ATS-RMC (Relay Marketplace Carriers) Program Management team. The successful candidate will be highly organized, extremely detail oriented, self-motivated, and demonstrate ability to respond effectively to changing workloads and priorities. Must have the ability to communicate well and to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Key job responsibilities
• Provide administrative support and high-volume data management.
• Gain and manage access to vendor work order portals in accordance with provided instructions.
• Utilize tracking sheets and portals to monitor project completion and progress.
• Conduct thorough reviews of weekly vendor reports to ensure compliance with project standards.
• Maintain comprehensive tracking records for all projects.
• Provide regular updates on project completion metrics to the Program Manager.
• Report any installation or vendor performance issues to the Program Manager.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate record-keeping in relevant administrative systems.
• Handle repetitive tasks with consistency and attention to detail.
• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement within our processes and policies.
• Demonstrate a history of teamwork and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
• Be prepared to work overtime as needed to meet time-sensitive tasks.
Analysts must have a working knowledge of:
Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Experience: Working knowledge of commercial motor vehicle operations, including experience working on or around CMVs in a transportation or logistics environment
Investigation Experience: Demonstrated understanding of incident investigation methodologies, including root cause analysis, evidence collection, and interview techniques
FMCSA Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS), driver qualification requirements, and vehicle maintenance standards
Advanced Excel Proficiency: Strong Excel skills including data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions, and ability to manage high-volume datasets for tracking and reporting
SQL Experience: Proficiency in SQL for querying databases, extracting data, and generating reports to support investigation analysis and tracking
Technical Writing Skills: Proven ability to write clear, concise investigation narratives and reports that document findings, causal factors, and recommended actions
Crash Preventability Standards: Familiarity with Crash Preventability Determination Program (CPDP) standards or similar accident analysis frameworks
Telematics and Video Analysis: Experience reviewing and interpreting telematics data, dash cam footage, or other technology-based evidence in safety investigations
Carrier Safety Programs: Understanding of carrier safety ratings, BASIC scores, and DOT compliance requirements
Multi-System Data Management: Ability to navigate and extract information from multiple data systems and portals to support comprehensive investigations
