Senior Product Manager - Technical, Amazon Music Mobile Architecture & Innovation Velocity, Amazon Music - CX Infrastructure
Amazon
Description
The Amazon Music Customer eXperience Infrastructure (CXI) team enables Amazon Music to deliver the best audio experiences across devices and modalities, with the lowest cost and shortest time to market. We work to eliminate complexity for our team and our partners, making development efforts simpler, faster, and more efficient.
We're looking for a Sr. PM-T based in Mexico City to own Playback, Mobile Architecture, and Innovation Velocity for Amazon Music. This role sits at the intersection of developer experience, AI-powered tooling, and the future of how Amazon Music is built. You will lead efforts to leverage Generative AI to increase the velocity of our developers and enable AI and other contributors to become feature builders — dramatically expanding who can ship product and how fast. You will also own the design of GenAI-powered tools that process customer feedback, generate improvement suggestions, and drive those suggestions through code, test, and ship cycles with minimal friction.
Amazon Music's range of devices includes mobile apps, web experiences, big-screens, wearables, connected speakers, and third-party integrations. Our vision is to deliver a best-in-class, multi-device experience that is reliable, fast, and frictionless across this cohesive, cross-client audio landscape.
This is an opportunity to define what the next generation of software development looks like at Amazon Music — where AI is not just a feature we ship, but a force multiplier for the teams that build them.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Product Manager, Technical on the Amazon Music Customer eXperience Infrastructure team, you will partner with stakeholders and contributors — including developers, engineers, technical program managers, and AI systems — to design and align on a roadmap that accelerates how Amazon Music is built and improved.
* Mobile Architecture Partnership: Partner with App Foundry and mobile engineering teams to support major architectural initiatives, including platform renovation efforts, app size optimization, and cross-team roadmap coordination to protect high-priority workloads.
* Cross-Team Alignment: Work across Amazon Music product and engineering teams to evaluate roadmap dependencies, surface conflicts to leadership, and ensure that platform-level changes are sequenced to minimize churn and maximize stability.
* Goal Setting & Metrics: Develop and maintain KPIs for developer velocity, AI contribution rates, and customer feedback loop efficiency. Analyze data, develop insights, and be the resident expert on the relationship between developer experience metrics and downstream customer impact.
* Backlog & Program Management: Support triage and prioritization of engineering backlogs across App Foundry and related teams, including data quality tickets, stability investigations, and partner integration workstreams (e.g., Samsung preload, Dolby Atmos, 3P DRM).
* Strategic Documentation: Draft PR FAQs, annual and quarterly plans, feature requirements, and resourcing asks. Evangelize the innovation velocity roadmap in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews.
* Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with internal partner teams and external partners, pushing back where appropriate and ensuring that scope, ownership, and funding are clearly defined.
A day in the life
You join the morning scrum with the App Foundry mobile team, where you stay informed of progress on the platform renovation and help unblock a cross-team dependency. Before lunch, you review output from a GenAI pipeline that processed the latest batch of customer feedback — it's surfaced three high-signal improvement opportunities, and you're drafting a one-pager to align stakeholders on prioritization. After lunch, you meet with a partner team to walk through their roadmap and identify changes that could conflict with the renovation timeline — you'll surface one of them to leadership by end of week. Later, you review a draft technical design for a new AI-assisted testing tool and leave comments that sharpen the success criteria. You wrap the day with a quick sync with your counterpart in Seattle to align on quarterly goals.
