Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and product leaders to define key business questions, develop analytics solutions, and translate data into meaningful insights that inform strategic decision-making

- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and dashboards using tools like Amazon QuickSight to provide real-time visibility into business metrics and operational performance

- Build and maintain a comprehensive set of operational and business metrics, establishing standardized definitions across the catalog ecosystem and identifying improvement opportunities

- Apply analytical techniques and SQL to analyze large datasets, identify trends, perform root cause analysis, and present findings in a clear and effective manner to stakeholders

- Partner with software development and engineering teams to implement analytics systems and data structures that support large-scale data analysis while ensuring consistent data quality

A day in the life
As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of data and business impact. About the team
We are establishing a new centralized Business Intelligence team within Amazon Selection and Catalog Systems (ASCS) to build self-service analytical products that provide relevant insights across the business. Our team operates under Catalog Support Programs, which provides program management, technical support, and strategic initiatives to enhance the customer experience. We're focused on bringing structure and discipline to how we define and track metrics across the catalog ecosystem, establishing a single source of truth for critical data. Our vision is to shift toward a proactive, data-driven approach where teams can make informed decisions quickly.
