Description

Amazon's Alexa Smart Properties (ASP) team is looking for a skilled and customer-obsessed Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) to own quality validation across our enterprise Alexa ecosystem. ASP powers Alexa experiences in hospitality, senior living, healthcare, and other commercial environments — and our QAEs are critical to ensuring these experiences meet the highest standards of reliability, accessibility, and enterprise-grade performance.
As a QAE on the ASP team, you will own end-to-end manual and exploratory testing, develop comprehensive test plans, and partner with SDETs and engineering teams to continuously raise the quality bar across ASP products and services. You will serve as a quality advocate throughout the product development lifecycle — from requirements review through production release.

Key job responsibilities
•Own end-to-end functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing for ASP cloud services, device experiences, and enterprise partner-facing features
•Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases that serve as both validation artifacts and blueprints for automation development
•Partner with engineering and product teams during requirements and design phases to identify gaps, define acceptance criteria, and advocate for testability
•Collaborate with SDET and automation teams to translate manual test cases into automated regression suites, driving measurable improvements in automation coverage
•Triage and investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and work cross-functionally to drive timely resolution
•Develop and maintain high-quality test documentation including test plans, runbooks, and onboarding guides that enable effective execution by distributed and offshore QA teams
•Participate in Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and process improvement initiatives to identify and eliminate quality bottlenecks in the delivery pipeline
