Join our Frontier AI & Robotics supply chain team and become the connective force enabling breakthrough robotics innovation. You'll manage the procurement of specialized components from custom actuators to advanced sensors that power our next-generation robotic systems, directly influencing how quickly our research and engineering teams can build, test, and scale their work.
Key job responsibilities
• Own end-to-end procurement of materials and equipment for our robotics systems, including electro-mechanical assemblies, electronic components, PCB assemblies, actuators, and advanced sensors from specialized domestic and international suppliers, incorporating consideration for manufacturing lead time and logistics
• Manage purchase orders from creation through receipt, proactively resolving delivery challenges and maintaining on-time supplier performance to keep hardware development and prototype build schedules on track
• Plan material requirements and manage inventory levels within our ERP system, aligning supply schedules with the dynamic demands of research prototype cycles, engineering builds, and production transitions
• Collaborate with research, controls, and hardware design teams to anticipate material needs from design or schedule changes, translating these into actionable procurement strategies
• Identify process improvement opportunities and lead cross-functional efforts to implement supply chain automation tools and systems that enhance procurement efficiency and supplier visibility
• Partner with finance to tackle supplier setup, payment terms, invoice reconciliation, budget tracking

You'll be a key partner in that journey, working closely with colleagues across supply chain, engineering, and research to anticipate needs, solve sourcing challenges, and build supplier relationships that support our ambitious roadmap.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain purchasing or procurement with hands-on experience placing and managing purchase orders in a manufacturing or hardware development environment
- • Cross-functional collaboration experience working closely with engineering, planning, and operations teams to translate technical requirements into procurement actions
- Demonstrated experience purchasing electro-mechanical assemblies, electronic components, and/or PCB assemblies from domestic and international suppliers
- Experience managing supplier relationships and performance metrics, including performance scorecards, corrective action processes, and escalation management
- Familiarity with Bills of Material (BOM) structure and management; developing and managing Costed Bills of Materials (CBOM)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in procurement or supply chain roles within advanced robotics, aerospace, defense, or high-precision electro-mechanical systems development environments
- Demonstrated experience supporting prototype-to-production scaling transitions, including supplier qualification, capacity planning, and New Product Introduction program management
- Familiarity with international logistics, trade compliance, and impacts of selected Incoterms as they relate to total landed cost and tariff impact/consideration; experience working with freight forwarders
- Experience sourcing and managing suppliers for custom-designed PCB assemblies and electronic components in low-to-medium volume, high-complexity programs
- Mandarin language proficiency

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
