How will you make an impact in this role?

The Deposits & Direct Marketing Team, within the US Consumer Marketing Group, is responsible for driving incremental revenue and Card member engagement through customer-centric strategies across proven Spend, Lend & Deposits driving treatments. We do this across Amex proprietary Digital, Email & Direct Mail marketing channels to make Amex essential for our Card Members.

This Senior Analyst will help lead charge in driving efficient revenue growth across a suite of customer spend treatments, by developing customer-first marketing strategies across our consumer Co-Brand Card portfolios (Delta, Hilton & Marriott) through Amex proprietary Email and Direct Mail channels with a focus on Upgrades, Cross-Sell & Stand Alone-Supps. This Senior Analyst will help develop compelling marketing creatives, form learning agendas, modernize journeys, optimize targeting strategy, analyze complex campaign performance data, and ensure flawless operational execution.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for performance marketing in the email and direct mail channels; ability to challenge the status quo with innovative thinking, be both analytic & creative and have strong relationship management skills.

Core Responsibilities include:

  • Influence development of new customer-centric marketing that will deliver incremental accepts and revenue across cobrand consumer card products in the email & direct mail channels
  • Influence our strategy and results by identifying new opportunities, innovating our tactics, and applying a test & learn approach
  • Strong financial intelligence and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to partner, build internal relationships and influence key partners while thriving in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment
  • Excellent business knowledge, clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deliver successful results in a complex environment and lead others even with limited direct authority at times
  • Optimize targeting/segmentation strategy in close partnership with Data Analytics, Card Product, Cobrand Partners, and Finance teams
  • Analyze monthly results reporting, forecasting and budget activities for respective treatments
  • Ability to use results data and learnings to drive creative strategies that ladder up to broader team goals

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of marketing experience
  • Demonstrated ability developing & executing marketing; experience in email, direct mail or digital marketing preferred
  • Experience in growth marketing, a plus
  • Customer centric marketer who can translate insights into strategies
  • Strategic thought starter who can develop a vision linked to organizational goals, but also deliver work with consistence, independence, and excitement
  • Have a “can do” attitude towards problem solving and demonstrated ability to work well with new opportunities
  • Marketing experience with demonstrated test & learn and customer-centric priorities
  • Strong project management and organizational skills including attention to detail, handling multiple priorities, managing timelines, driving flawless execution
  • High proficiency in Excel; comfortable managing complex data and proven ability to derive insights from it
  • Expert ability to build and manage relationships across band-levels to influence internal and external partners across multiple work streams to deliver results
  • Superior verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
