The Mexico Global Card Services Group Financial Analyst is a critical role for our business, the biggest and most relevant LOB for the Market.

The successful candidate will have a strong business sense, strong analytical skills, and proficient technical capabilities in data mining and visualization. This role interacts with a broad range of internal customers and is a key enabler for business decision support, reporting, finance tracking and thorough financial analysis to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new data extractions from different DBs, that can drive better data analysis and insights
  • Drive towards digital and increase insights through analytics
  • Responsible of automating data collection from the OU’s
  • Responsible for the quality, completeness, accuracy and timeliness of improved DBs and reporting
  • Take initiative on refinement of query parameter setup in templates and data gathering or any other parameter set up
  • P&L: Planning, Forecasting and Reporting
  • Analysis of Global P&L development for month-end results, forecast and plan
  • Develop and deliver profitability analysis, including spend margin, net credit margin, card fee margin and profitability contribution by product and card logo
  • Perform Cost and Benefits Analysis (CBAs) for key projects, initiatives and product launches

Minimum Qualifications:


Academic Background:

An advanced degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science, etc.).

Functional Skills/Capabilities:

Prior experience on customer data analysis

Experienced knowledge and ability to inform business strategy based on statistical findings

One year plus in data analytics, reporting, data science or business intelligence role

Technical Skills/Capabilities:

Hive, Python, SAS, SQL, Advanced Statistical Techniques, Data Mining Techniques applied to business insights generation

Knowledge of Platforms:

Modeling/trigger applications (PowerBI/Tableau, etc)
