How will you make an impact in this role?
- Reviews data requirements / data stories and corresponding data sources and data architecture
- Documents data requirements / data stories and maintains data models to ensure flawless integration into existing data architectures
- Supports management of data assets as per the enterprise standards, guidelines and policies
- Reviews and understands the processing requirements inclusive of data and transaction volumes, scalability, security and performance requirements
- Assists in building and improving the database design and infrastructure required to support the Business portfolio
- Assists in performing database design review and supports database testing
- Provides production environment support for database systems and processes
- Communicates and works closely with business and product teams to support changes and implementation
- Function as an active member if an agile team through consistent development practices (tools, components, and documentation)
- Finds opportunities to adopt innovative technologies
- Takes part in reviews of own work or with colleagues
- Work on prioritized/assigned features for ongoing sprints

Minimum Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experience such as:
- Understanding of Agile or other rapid application development methods
- Exposure to design and development on Cassandra
- Exposure data model design.
- Configuring and building Database clusters
- Comfortable in tunning Cassandra JVM and it’s parameters.
- Understanding query read & write path.
- Understanding and experience of usage of different compactions strategies.
- Experience on adding database nodes, rack & Datacenters.
- Expert on usage of nodetool, dsbulk, nosqlbench, sstableloader, sstableupdate utility.
- Expert on Linux os
- Expert in usage DSE Opscenter or any other tool that can monitor database cluster.
- Knowledge on usage of Ansible scripts
- Experience in writing ELF or Splunk queries and can build dashboards to monitor logs
- Understanding to newer app frameworks and their interactions with Databases
- DSE driver configuration
- Good understanding and technical knowledge of DBMS products and ecosystem – e.g. storage formats, access algorithms, data management processes, administration, data maintenance, replication, high availability, encryption, etc.”
- General knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational & non-relational databases
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experience such as:

- Knowledge/Skills:
- Able to understand and use data structures and associated components
- Basic understanding of Metadata Management and Database Management
- Able to understand and document business data requirements in complete, accurate, extensible and flexible logical data models using data modeling tools – ErStudio, ErWin
- Creates basic data models using the relevant tools and frameworks
- Basic understanding of XML and schema development/reuse, database concepts, database designs, Open Source, big data technology and NoSQL will be an added advantage
- Application of industry recognized methods, processes and standards
- Has understanding of the core tools used in the planning, analyzing, designing, building, testing, configuring and maintaining of assigned application(s)
- Able to participate in assigned team’s software delivery methodology (Agile, Scrum, Agile XP, Test-Driven Development, Waterfall, etc.) in support of data management and database development
- Familiar with infrastructure technologies and components like servers, jvms, databases, and networking concepts

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
