How will you make an impact in this role?
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Translate business risks, controls and supporting data into analytic requirements and partners with colleagues to build effective analytics and insights.
- Lead team to build data visualization dashboards and other analytical capabilities for the end users. This includes building scorecards, dashboards, analytical queries used for attestation, validation, and analysis of the base data as well as the regulatory reports, using the tools such as OBIEE/OAS & Tableau.
- Perform testing and validation of the technology builds to ensure seamless business process transition and create relevant documentation.
- Apply proven/ advanced data algorithms, advanced analytic and modeling techniques to draw insights essential to driving improvement initiatives.
- Prototype and simulate use cases for Advanced analytics, ongoing & proactive assessment of analytic results in partnership with relevant teams, leveraging data to tell compelling business stories, with a keen focus on impact & insights.
- Extensively support other Managers/ team members with Subject matter expertise and process knowledge to help make insights extremely relevant and actionable for our business partners.
Significantly contribute towards adoption and application of cutting-edge techniques and software paradigms (available internally & externally) by continuously learning, researching, and experimenting
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer science, Engineering, or other related fields with atleast 8+ years of experience in the data and analytics
- Technical experience with analytic coding techniques, visualization tools and creating reporting dashboards is must have
- Hands on knowledge of SQL/ Hive QL, Visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI
- Self-starter along with passion for continuous Innovation with a view to drive organizational improvements & impacts.
- Excellent storytelling and visualization skills
- Extensive business process experience in the financial services industry, including an understanding of related products, services, features, and key regulations.
- Aptitude for working with data, interpreting results, business intelligence and analytic best practices.
- Ability to break-down a complex problem into components, solve them using data analysis, process knowledge and risk/control knowledge, and communicate data analysis, issues and control recommendations with transparency and integrity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills that deliver quality, actionable and beneficial feedback to management on potential control issues and solutions to close gaps.
- Ability to lead and manage multiple projects and incorporate developmental feedback across deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding and experience with Regulatory reports like FR-Y9C/9LP, FR-2314/Y11, FR-Y14s would be a plus.
- Good to have experience with advanced analytic methods, such as machine learning.
- Experience in development of testing automation capabilities
- Experience in Cloud capabilities
