How will you make an impact in this role?
The Analyst, Lending Product Development, is a critical role responsible for helping optimize lend margins in Canada by leading the build and rollout of capabilities and product enhancements. In this role you will work closely across a group of critical partners including technology, central lending, product teams and more to help drive our lending capabilities roadmap. You will be responsible for developing requirements and project scope as well as ensuring alignment on all projects, leading to flawless delivery.You are a master relationship builder, aren’t afraid to get into the details, excited by change, have a comfort with numbers and can-do attitude to your work. You’re passionate in creating and documenting strong processes that supports a meaningful customer experience and are energized by multiple projects on the go at once.
Job Responsibilities
Relationship Management – Build a common vision between business stakeholders in order to drive strategy.
- Influence to gain initial stakeholder buy-in.
- Manage and lead stakeholders and contributors throughout development and business optimization process.
- Drive support and ensure alignment during changes to scope and in finding resolution of issues.
Project Management – Develop and implement key capabilities to support growth.
- Lead major change.
- Understand and follow internal end to end NPD processes.
- Work closely in particular with Technology teams to drive through ‘design,’ ‘build,’ ‘test’and ‘implementation’ stages of projects.
- Anticipate potential risks and issues, setting contingency plans and finding solutions.
Drives Results – Move with speed and create followership and vision to get the job done.
- Lead with a sense of urgency and is persistent in meeting objectives.
- Motivate others to act with timeliness and defines success.
Product Management – Ensure smooth transition to future business owners.
- Lead transition of ownership to appropriate product owners.
- Document processes, issues and other critical information (e.g. creation of playbooks) for long-term organizational knowledge retention.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to take initiative and champion a project from conception through to implementation and post implementation evaluation, including:
- Ability to manage complex project simultaneously.
- Ability or organize other people and meet deadlines.
- Organized approach to workload.
- Strong relationship management, influencing and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, with emphasis on proposal development and presentation to internal contacts, up to senior management levels. This will include:
- Ability to identify and track key project milestones (base-lining critical path).
- Proactive ability to anticipate project risks and issues and ensure adequate mitigation and controls are put in place to ensure delivery is not compromised.
- Consumer financial services (Cards, Rewards) experience a plus.
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfort with ambiguity.
