How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Assist in the day-to-day implementation of the EU Artificial Intelligence (AI) Act governance framework, working under the direction of the EU AI Governance Manager to ensure consistent and effective governance practices
  • Manage the intake into the EU AI governance process for new and existing AI systems
  • Support the risk classification of AI systems by gathering relevant information, and completing AI system reviews
  • Draft and issue communications to internal stakeholders regarding governance activities, deadlines, and classification outcomes. Help field routine queries and coordinate more complex queries with the wider EU AI Risk & Control team
  • Support the EU AI Governance Manager in providing guidance and advice on the application of EU AI Act governance obligations and controls to internal stakeholders. Help develop and distribute awareness materials across the business to promote understanding of the EU AI Act
  • Ensure process documentation is accurately recorded and maintained in the system of record
  • Assist in the compilation of reports and dashboards tracking risk classification outcomes and key metrics for use by the EU AI Risk & Control team, Legal Entities and business leadership
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the EU AI Act and wider AI governance principles. Work with the EU AI Risk & Control team to continuously learn and stay current on updates and best practices
  • Operate with a continuous improvement mindset and work with the EU AI Risk & Control team to contribute ideas and feedback to support process efficiency and consistency

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in non-financial risk management, compliance, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to execute operational processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards
  • Interest in AI governance or emerging AI regulation (e.g. EU AI Act)
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset and a genuine interest in building expertise in AI, its development lifecycle, and how governance and compliance apply to its development and use
  • Strong English language verbal and written and communication skills, with an ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex requirements in accessible, business-friendly language
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to follow structured review processes and maintain accurate documentation
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly in reviewing data or supporting governance workflows
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to engage across business units and functions (e.g. risk, data science, legal and compliance) to enable a cohesive approach to AI governance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Law, Cyber Security, Policy, Risk Management, AI Ethics)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the EU AI Act and its obligations, and/or familiarity with adjacent regulations e.g., GDPR
  • Familiarity with machine learning, data science and/or AI technologies to facilitate conversations with technical colleagues
  • Familiarity with dashboarding tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
