Overview of the Business:
Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payment issuer and partner for businesses with products and services that help them grow and run their businesses. The GCS Product Analytics team plays a pivotal role within the GCS Products organization by providing advanced analytics and statistical methodologies to driver deep insights into client behavior. Our mission is to inform and shape product strategies and deliver connected, personalized experiences that foster deeper client engagement and drive sustainable, profitable growth.
The GCS Products Corporate Card Analytics team is responsible for driving advanced statistical insights to accelerate the growth of our Corporate Card portfolio and to deepen penetration and engagement with beyond-the-card products/features (Business Travel Account, Buyer Initiated Payments, Expense Management, etc.) that enhance the value of membership.
The GCS Product Analytics group is currently hiring for a Sr Analyst – Corporate Card Analytics. This important role is responsible for working with product, marketing, credit risk, and finance teams to ensure insights are applied to business strategies to improve shareholder and customer value. This role represents a unique opportunity to leverage applied quantitative experience to directly shape business strategy and requires strong relationship management skills to drive results in a matrix environment and a high curiosity level to explore and understand data.
Responsibilities:
- Create behavior and financial based portfolio segmentation; develop segment-based treatment strategies in partnership with other groups, e.g. Marketing and Risk.
- Construct and execute test design, measure results, continuously apply learnings.
- Monitor key performance indicators for the business while actively promoting awareness to build efficiency and effective self-service for internal partners.
- Partners with functional teams understand products, processes, and competitive environment to develop insights to help grow the business.
- Utilize advance analytics to understand opportunities for growth and emerging threats and headwind regarding customer behavior and process experiences.
- Lead the creation of data dictionaries / glossaries / metric definitions to identify, document and establish best practices for analyzing our corporate customer base.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, or another quantitative discipline.
- Proven ability to manipulate, analyze, and extract insights from large and complex datasets
- Proficiency in data analytics and programming tools such as SQL, Python or Hive or similar.
- Strong understanding of the charge card economics with demonstrated ability to drive business outcomes through strategic analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to simplify complex data for diverse audience
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful business results.
- Natural Intellectual curiosity and strong interest in the Credit card and benefits landscape.
