Description
This is an exciting Hardware Design Engineer opportunity, that starts at product concept and continues all the way through to mass production. You will work with multi-functional teams to realize next generations of iPhone. The scope of work includes design, integration, and validation of rigid boards, printed flexible circuits, and overall system-level solutions that push the boundaries of technology. You will be expected to drive multi-functional technical discussions and propose creative solutions that will require you to make system tradeoffs. There will be opportunities for international travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5+ years of industry experience
- Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals including high speed design, analog and digital design
- Extensive experience with Schematic Capture and rigid/flexible PCB layout expertise
- Experience with design of complex system architectures
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- MS Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of Low voltage power regulation and delivery and fundamentals of Signal and Power Integrity is preferred.
- Experience in Prototype design and validation with custom silicon is a plus
- Exposure to solving unwanted coupling and interference between subsystems
- Proven track record of leading multi-functional teams
- Familiarity with the challenges of taking a product from early architecture through to production
- Hands on experience with lab test equipment to debug difficult/intermittent hardware issues
- Experience with scripting languages to assist with hardware development
- Broad experience across applications and technologies
- Strong desire to dive deep into system level issues and drive problems to closure in a team-based environment with a proactive attitude
- Ability to analyze solutions and make system design trade-offs
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
