The Technical Marketing team within Worldwide Product Marketing is looking for a Demo Engineer to work on Apple’s world-class product launches. The ideal candidate would have technical experience in automation with a basic understanding of large language models or augmented reality. They should also have proven project leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a desire to work with an amazing team to develop new ways of enabling unreleased products.
Description
The team supports the introduction of new products by collaborating with product managers and engineers to ensure our products receive the launch they deserve. We define and build cohesive demos that showcase the abilities of our hardware, software and services. We connect with various engineering organizations to understand how new features, changes in software, improvements to security, and software timelines impact our work and develop plans to optimally overcome limitations to showcase new features. We work to develop scripts and processes that enable large scale automation for new product launches both in the US, and around the world. This role requires a strong sense of individual ownership and responsibility, while working in a close team environment. Additional responsibilities include: - Provide technical expertise with product teams to ensure successful launch of Apple products. - Work closely with product teams and software engineering to identify risk and propose solutions for upcoming demos. - Design and implement foundational systems that provide scalable functionality or improve the efficiency of existing processes for device configuration. - Develop automation processes for mass deployment of Apple devices; including Vision Pro and Apple Intelligence. - Document and share processes with clear and concise communication for non-technical audiences. - Spot critical risks, find opportunities, articulate implications, translate insight into fast-cycle action.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software or automation related role.
- Experience using Python or CLI tools to develop/automate devices.
- Experience coordinating projects across cross functional teams.
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience with both iOS and macOS, and Apple hardware.
- Experience with Vision Pro and/or Apple Intelligence.
- Solution-oriented with high-level programming skills; Swift highly favorable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to tailor communication to different audiences.
- Ability to lead projects, coordinating efforts across multiple teams.
- Coordinate and deliver communication between engineering and product managers.
- Ability to evangelize the requirements of the team and champion creative solutions across cross-functional teams, including senior leadership.
- Adaptable and flexible when faced with ambiguity.
- Creative and ambitious thinking.
- Attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to travel domestic and/or international with short notice.
