The Wireless Power Technology team is pioneering new ways of charging your devices. Our flagship product’s name, the MagSafe charger, says it all. Bringing all these aspects together requires careful orchestration of electromagnetism, passive and active electronics, state-of-the-art safety algorithms, communication over inductive links, and, of course, an appealing product design. We are looking for a signal-processing engineer who will implement, integrate, and ship next-generation communication features for inductive charging products. The successful candidate will have a strong grasp of electrical engineering fundamentals, including analog and digital signal processing, and electric circuits. They will be eager to learn and explore new domains, particularly wireless charging. Proficiency in simulation and bench validation is essential. This role offers significant growth opportunities in a cutting-edge technology domain.
- Design signal processing blocks such as filters, correlators, downconverters, and rate converters.
- Develop analog and digital simulation models to validate design concepts
- Validate hardware/firmware implementations, troubleshoot and analyze failures with systematic approaches
- Contribute to the development of new inductive communication architectures
- Document designs and results
- BS in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years industry experience.
- Strong foundation in analog and digital signal processing: signals & systems, filters, transforms, MATLAB or Python.
- Proficiency in basic circuits and circuit simulations: RLC circuits, op-amps, diodes, FET’s, SPICE/Cadence, etc.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and function generators.
- Demonstrated ability in hardware validation, debugging, and failure analysis.
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with communication systems.
- Exposure to digital communication modems or wireless protocols.
- Understanding of electromagnetic coupling and inductive power transfer.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
