We are seeking a Software Engineer to join Apple Services Engineering (ASE) who brings deep passion for building distributed large scale data processing systems, frameworks and platforms using big data technologies.

And we are software engineers who build distributed systems to generate data analytics. The systems should scale well, be highly available and provide consistent results. You will have important responsibility and influence in designing and building the data platform to empower businesses, operations, data analytics and AI feature.
  • Join a fast growing team of data engineers to develop and iterate quickly on all stages of data processing.
  • Lead, design, develop, and drive the unique solutions necessary to scale to Apple Service’s diverse data requirements.
  • Innovate and inspire a scalable data vision for current and extension to support AI needs. Influence internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to execute on that vision.
  • Drive for quality, scalability and a strong collaborative environment.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Scala, SQL, with hands-on experience in distributed compute/storage systems like Spark, Iceberg, Cassandra, Hadoop/HDFS, AWS/S3.
  • Multi-year experience in big data processing of batch and streaming using Flink and Spark.
  • Proven ability to lead engineering projects from design to production across teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Excellent communicator, able to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Strong interest in processing data to power embedded and AI features.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
