We’re looking for an experienced Technical Post Production Lead / Video Editor to join a tight-knit team of creative professionals and extraordinary technologists. A successful candidate will be a creative thinker with a proven track record of partnering with a highly collaborative production team. This role sits at the heart of our content creation process — video editing through post-production. This is a site-based role.
As the Technical Post Production Lead / Video Editor, you’ll be part of a content team focused on delivering customer-facing content for key Apple initiatives. Responsibilities include: • Editing large quantities of content in an ongoing and constant basis • Works closely with production to oversee and schedule editorial tasks for all videos • Oversight of technical QC process before final cut (drop frames, audio glitches, focus, color, etc.) • Manage and assign tasks with firm deadlines to others on the video editorial team • Creatively contribute to the overall aesthetic of how videos look-and-feel • Research and stay up-to-date on technology trends as it relates to video editing for smoother workflows • Cross-functional collaboration with engineer teams • Oversight and management of all media servers and systems within the production facility
- 10+ years experience as a video editor and technical post production lead
- Strong creative mind and ability to collaborate on creative in the editing process
- Experience setting up and managing post production pipelines and workflows (servers, post production systems, online, backups, etc.)
- Expert knowledge in non-linear editing software, specifically Final Cut Pro
- Ability to multitask and, when necessary, work on multiple projects concurrently, as deadlines and/or scope shift
- Experience leading other Editors and providing positive feedback during reviews
- Ability to implement basic color grade on final videos
- Passionate about making great content
