Apple’s Vision Products Group is looking for a creative and dedicated engineer with leadership qualities to join our Media team.
We are looking for a Quality Engineer who can work and contribute towards the functional testing of Apple Media technologies in the VPG Media QA team. In this role, you will be testing media technologies in Vision Pro, developing and maintaining automation using python and executing tests for new Media features. You will work very closely with development and cross-functional teams to ensure the Media Playback experience and performance are of the highest level. You will cover a broad span of test areas involving functional, performance, and reliability testing. Responsibilities of this role will include manual and automated testing, writing functional and automation test cases, triage of issues, reporting on project progress, and risk analysis.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science/Engineering and a minimum of five years of related professional experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing tools.
  • Experience with video streaming technology, working very closely with the development team and other cross-functional teams to ensure product quality is of the highest level by executing tests for new Media features, such as Apple Immersive videos.
  • Experience troubleshooting, triage, and providing detailed debug information for expediting issue resolution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience in writing and running detailed test plans; discovering and documenting software and hardware defects; prioritizing and escalating problems to peers and management, driving their resolution.
  • Strong objective-oriented programming skills; Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python.
  • Knowledge of Apple Platform development and experience with testing consumer electronics, mobile/console applications.
  • Hands-on experience working with AR/VR products and ecosystems.
  • Experience with testing consumer electronics, mobile applications, and experiences.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $213,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
