Artificial intelligence is one of the most profound technologies of our lifetime. The AIML Data Operations team builds software systems that accelerate human-in-the-loop model development at scale. Our team is part of Apple's most strategic software and hardware initiatives from Apple Intelligence to Vision Pro. We're seeking a senior program manager to lead multiple global software initiatives that shape how machine learning data is collected, labeled, and used across Apple. You will partner with multi-disciplinary engineering teams across Apple to deliver software experiences that directly impact the quality of AI models used by billions of people.
This role will drive the vision, strategy and execution for AIML Data Operations software programs.
  • Lead end-to-end software program execution to enable global data operations initiatives, coordinating across engineering, ML research, and operations stakeholders
  • Drive alignment across multiple organizations with varying needs, energizing teams around a common vision, and execution plan
  • Partner with diverse teams to define product roadmaps, gather requirements, and deliver data-driven solutions
  • Provide clear, proactive communication including regular program status updates to executive leadership
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, close gaps, and re-plan as needed to keep initiatives on track
  • Champion software quality and user experience, ensuring solutions meet the needs of global operations teams
  • 10+ years of technical program management experience
  • Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, HCI or related technical field
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, user-centric software experiences with a software design and development team
  • Excellent program management leadership skills including aligning stakeholders to a common vision and strategy, delivering multi-quarter product roadmaps, building relationships across disciplines, and negotiating ambiguity
  • Excellent written and verbal skills including presenting to executives and communicating abstract concepts clearly to diverse audiences
  • Domain expertise in the AI/ML model development lifecycle
  • Domain experience in human-in-the-loop model training and evaluation
  • Data analysis skills using SQL or Python
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $203,300 and $305,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
