This is a critical role within the WW Operations FP&A team and is responsible for managing the Department Spend for WWOps and other FP&A projects related to Apple 2030, Environment, Supply Chain Innovation, Policy & Social initiatives as assigned as well as finance system improvements. This role will be critical to the broader Ops FP&A team in helping implement innovative system solutions that elevate key finance functions. The position requires in-depth knowledge of forecasting, trending analysis, the Company’s financial policies and procedures, as well as Finance systems to be able to implement process improvements across the team.
This role will provide world-class business partner support to various Operations and Finance Directors and their teams, requiring excellent communication skills, a strong business insight, and ability to solve problems real-time. We need someone who will collaborate across multiple organizations to successfully drive the FP&A process in a high-paced environment.
- Responsible for driving the financial forecast and close processes in close collaboration with all global Operations Finance teams and Corporate FP&A, covering both monthly and long-range planning while maintaining a deep understanding of operational drivers to proactively surface potential issues.
- The position is required to understand the Company’s financial policies and procedures in order to provide appropriate guidance to our business partners on spend authorizations and related quarter close matters.
- Leverage a comprehensive understanding of Apple’s business activities and associated processes to identify opportunities for significant improvements in internal reporting, analytical capabilities, and financial processes. Proactively automate manual processes to deliver more robustas capable and efficient reporting. Improvements should focus on the ability for the team to have deeper and efficient analysis of department expenditures.
- Have a deep understanding of system integration and data flow, capable of tracing the journey of an order through various platforms to understand how data is captured, transformed and ultimately reported. Experience in troubleshooting data flow issues in highly valued. Act as a liaison with the technical teams to implement improvements.
- Partner with and train financial analysts on technology infrastructure (building dashboards, generating reports, leveraging RPA and AI where valuable).
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting or Computer Science
- 5+ years experience in financial experience performing budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis with increasing responsibilities
- CPA/MBA a plus but not required
- Extensive experience working with finance policies and budget vs. actuals processes
- Experience working with large, complex data sets and building financial dashboards
- Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g. Dataiku, Tableau, Snowflake)
- Creative and curious self starter
- Solid analytical & financial modeling background
- Fierce attention to detail with accuracy
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills to various levels of the organization
- Strong ability to develop and foster relationships across many functions to accomplish goals
