Are you passionate about fostering high-performing, engaged teams and driving operational excellence? We are looking for an experienced technical communications and engineering operations project manager. This role will work across the Wallet, Payments, and Commerce (WPC) Engineering organization to lead technical communications, develop and deliver operations and employee engagement initiatives, and support special projects with broad strategic impact. The Product Operations team empowers Apple teams to execute at scale. We tackle complex organizational, operational, and technical challenges, ensuring seamless execution and strategic alignment across the organization and company. You will be part of a small, high-performing team that partners with WPC Engineering’s leadership to drive transformation in support of the continued scale and growth of both our products and our teams. Leveraging your insight into business priorities, you will lead technical communications, process development, employee engagement, and strategy projects to improve how our engineering team delivers. You are the kind of person who wants to understand how everything works, with a strong sense of ownership and fantastic execution skills. You need to be the kind of person who can wear many hats and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
  • Craft and own technical communications at the organizational level to strengthen alignment amid significant change; this includes documenting and communicating technical decisions and supporting developer GenAI adoption
  • Design and execute hackathons, technical training, and engagement initiatives across our global sites and timezones
  • Project manage a burgeoning technical architecture team, including process development and improving organizational integration
  • Identify opportunities to drive organizational effectiveness and operational efficiency; define and lead projects to measurably progress against these opportunities
  • Develop and implement processes and policies to improve how our operations, engagement, admin, finance, and people teams support the organization

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in communications, technical program management, and/or product operations in a technology company
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills — experienced in both formal and informal communication channels, including executive memos, all-hands presentations, Slack, and email campaigns
  • Extensive cross-functional stakeholder management experience, with the ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Passion for driving change across many teams
  • Thrives in ambiguity with experience starting and managing complex initiatives end-to-end
  • Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams and coordinating complex initiatives across multiple regions
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong working relationships across all levels and functions with a knack for handling conflict and diverse personalities
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,100 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
