APPLE INC has the following available in San Diego, California. Drive continuous improvement to deliver large volumes of high‐quality documentation localization. Manage scheduling and tracking localization efforts while communicating risks and priorities to deliver high‐quality documentation. Perform close cross‐functional collaboration with internal and external teams, including but not limited to project management, graphic design, engineering, translation, and regional localization QA teams. Work cross‐functionally to develop, communicate and maintain schedules for localization efforts. Define strategy and resource needs for assigned project. Coordinate with internal and external teams to align documentation efforts and create schedules that ensure high‐quality results. Communicate project status to stakeholders and senior leadership. Identify and manage schedule risks. Reconcile schedule conflicts by working with project stakeholders to establish priorities. Follow up on all internationalization and localization issues. Maintain workload and vendor estimation and actual spend data for assigned projects. Identify gaps or inefficiencies in project management tools and processes within and between teams and suggest improvements. Collect and maintain information for projects, which includes international regulatory compliance, product safety and environmental information, and more. Manage the development for assigned internal tools, including triaging bugs and feature requests, monitoring the development progress, and facilitating communication between stakeholders. Test internal tools, file bugs and propose new features. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $134,800 - $203,000/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Localization Management or related field and 3 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking in Simplified and Traditional Chinese language. Education and/or experience must include:
- Managing localization projects from end to end and in a larger scope (more than 20 languages)
- Utilizing localization management systems to manage projects.
- Utilizing computer-assisted translation tools such as SDL Trados, including experience managing translation memories and terminologies.
- Experience in localization quality assurance, including experience checking for linguistic accuracy and consistency.
- Working with different file formats in localization, such as Adobe InDesign.
- Managing project-related resources, including translators, editors, and QA Testers.
- Identifying potential project risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
- Experience solving problems related to cultural differences and nuances.
- Working in software development cycles, including experience in software testing and bug filing.
