We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer who is passionate about operational excellence through automation and engineering processes. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration of development and operations processes to deliver best-in-class and highly available systems. Your expertise in cloud platforms, automation, and infrastructure management will be vital to the success of our projects.
- Engineering Processes & Automation:
- Design and implement engineering processes to maximize the effectiveness of development teams by simplifying the process of building, deploying, and operating software.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and monitoring to ensure scalability, efficiency, and security.
- Cloud Infrastructure & Containerisation:
- Manage and upgrade Kubernetes environments, including version upgrades and EKS deployments.
- Create Helm charts for deploying applications on Kubernetes and AWS EKS.
- Oversee AWS infrastructure creation and management, ensuring robust disaster recovery setups.
- Security & Compliance:
- Assess current application security to develop threat models and conduct security assessments.
- Integrate security practices into all stages of the software development lifecycle.
- Provide guidance to the engineering organization on navigating security and compliance requirements, including preparing and executing PCI, SOC2, SOX, or other compliance audits.
- CI/CD & Configuration Management:
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Garage, and Fortress.
- Manage configurations and deployments using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Implement and refine continuous integration and continuous delivery processes to support agile development practices.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
- Configure and monitor systems using Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Continuously improve reliability by implementing actionable monitoring frameworks and being part of the production on-call rotation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network, storage, OS, and application-level problems, including P1s or P1c incidents.
- Migration & Failover Operations:
- Lead the migration from on-premises to third-party cloud platforms.
- Execute "Pull the Plug" activities, ensuring successful traffic switches between data centers and effective failover operations.
- Manage Load balancers setup using Akamai for efficient traffic distribution and redundancy.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with application development teams to understand infrastructure requirements and provide solutions that promote efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security, compliance, and operational challenges.
- 6+ years of proven experience as a Ops/SRE Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with Cloud Fleet deployment strategies using as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, or equivalent with knowledge on Helm, Terraform and Ansible.
- Strong programming and scripting skills with languages such as Bash, Python, Node, or Java.
- Proficiency in CI/CD using Jenkins, GitHub, with observability technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or similar.
- Bachelors Degree in CS or equivalent experience
- Experience with Cloud migrations.
- Familiarity with AEM upgrades, troubleshooting, and Apache upgrades.
- Experience in handling high-priority incidents and root cause analysis.
