At Apple, extraordinary things happen when diverse minds unite around a shared purpose — to create products, services, and experiences that change the world. Every initiative we undertake reflects our relentless pursuit of excellence, and the people behind them are what make the difference. We are embarking on one of the most ambitious and transformative SAP journeys in our history — a multi-year evolution from our ECC platform to SAP S/4HANA, reimagining the very foundation that powers our global operations. This is more than a technology upgrade; it's an opportunity to shape the future of how Apple works at scale. We are looking for a visionary SAP Engineering Project Manager who thrives in complexity, leads with purpose, and has the expertise to drive this landmark transformation from strategy to reality — ensuring every milestone delivers meaningful impact and lasting value.
As a SAP Engineering Project Manager for Apple's SAP S/4HANA transformation, you will sit at the intersection of technology, strategy, and global collaboration — owning the end-to-end execution of one of the most significant ERP initiatives in Apple's history. Day to day, you will partner closely with executives, business units, IT teams, and external vendors to define scope, align objectives, and drive key deliverables forward, while leading and inspiring diverse global teams of employees, contractors, and third-party consultants across multiple time zones. You will be the connective tissue between vision and execution — anticipating risks before they surface, optimizing resources without sacrificing quality, and ensuring every phase of the project moves with precision and purpose. From crafting executive-level dashboards and steering committee presentations to navigating complex cross-functional dependencies, your work will be visible, impactful, and deeply tied to how Apple operates at a global scale. This is a role for someone who doesn't just manage projects — but elevates them, bringing strategic clarity, operational rigor, and a passion for innovation to every decision they make.
  • 1. Architect a comprehensive migration roadmap from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, defining clear milestones, dependencies, and success criteria across all impacted systems and business tracks
  • 2. Drive strategic decisions on implementation approach — evaluating Greenfield, Brownfield, and Bluefield options — while providing a holistic assessment of hosting strategies across On-Premise, Cloud, and SAP RISE
  • 3. Lead the SAP Program Management Office, establishing governance frameworks, project standards, and cross-functional alignment to ensure consistent and efficient program execution
  • 4. Identify and manage risks, cross-functional impacts, and interdependencies across workstreams, implementing proactive mitigation strategies to keep the program on track
  • 5. Own departmental budget management and capital planning, delivering accurate forecasts, tracking spend, and reporting financial performance to senior leadership
  • 6. Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with third-party vendors and system integrators, overseeing procurement, contracts, and performance to ensure delivery excellence
  • 7. Champion compliance with SAP Project Lifecycle methodology and corporate governance standards throughout every phase of the transformation
  • 8. Develop and deliver executive-level reporting tools, portfolio dashboards, and strategic communications that provide clear visibility into program health and progress
  • 8 years of SAP project management experience, with at least 5 years leading large-scale SAP transformation or ERP implementation projects in complex enterprise environments
  • 5 years of experience in directly leading and developing teams of contractors, and third-party consultants across global locations
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional programs with budgets exceeding $XXM, including end-to-end ownership of forecasting, financial tracking, and capital planning
  • 6 years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC, including direct involvement in at least two full-cycle S/4HANA migration or implementation
  • 10 years in project management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid, with hands-on experience using tools such as JIRA, MS Project, or equivalent platforms
  • 5 years of leading and aligning global, cross-functional teams across multiple time zones, business units, and organizational levels
  • 5 years experience presenting to and influencing executives, steering committees, and senior stakeholders through structured reporting, dashboards, and executive communications
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification
  • Hands-on experience with SAP cloud solutions, including SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Analytics Cloud, with exposure to SAP RISE and cloud migration strategies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data migration methodologies, system integration frameworks, and SAP business process reengineering across multiple functional areas
  • Experience leading or supporting organizational change management initiatives, driving user adoption and seamless transition to new SAP systems and processes
  • Strong understanding of IT governance, enterprise security standards, and regulatory compliance requirements within large-scale ERP environments
  • Familiarity with digital transformation strategies and the ability to connect technology decisions to broader business outcomes and operational efficiency goals
  • SAP certifications such as SAP Activate Project Manager or SAP S/4HANA certification
  • Experience working within a global technology company or highly matrixed enterprise organization, navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and competing priorities
  • Proficiency in advanced reporting and visualization tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, or Tableau to support program-level insights and executive decision-making
