Apple's Employee Experience and Productivity team are seeking a Senior Product Manager who will be a crucial leader of a unique team responsible for defining, researching, and delivering Collaboration and Productivity tools to all business units at Apple. Some of the tools we deliver provide features to enhance large segments of our daily workflow; this includes tools built internally and sourced externally, and focus areas such as Meeting Experience, File Sync & Share, Chat, Content Collaboration, Work Management, and Artificial Intelligence.
In this role, you will be leading the creation and management of tools to support and reshape how employees work together. As new business requirements evolve, you will craft the story, explore alternative solutions and define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for your portfolio of products. You should possess finely-tuned critical thinking skills and have significant breadth and depth as a best-in-class Product Manager. You will champion Apple's employee experience with collaboration tools, defining success through data-driven metrics and cross-functional collaboration to improve the current employee experience and envision innovative solutions that rival the excitement of a new Apple product. A key part of this role is the ongoing rationalization of your tool portfolio continuously evaluating the landscape to identify opportunities to consolidate redundant solutions, surface synergies across tools, and simplify the overall experience for employees, ensuring Apple's productivity ecosystem remains focused, cohesive, and efficient.
  • Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a portfolio of employee productivity and collaboration tools, balancing short-term delivery with long term strategic bets.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through full product development cycles from discovery and requirements through design, engineering, and launch.
  • Continuously evaluate the tool portfolio for consolidation and synergy opportunities, simplifying the employee experience while maintaining capability and quality.
  • Partner with vendors to align external roadmaps and capabilities to Apple's internal priorities and employee needs.
  • Use data and employee insights to measure product impact, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement across the portfolio.
  • 7+ years of experience in a product management role leading product development cycles from concept to launch, with a demonstrated track record of shipping products at scale.
  • 5+ years of experience working cross-functionally with peer teams such as software engineering and UX Design.
  • BS or MS degree in computer science, information management, or a technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Expert in identifying complex employee requirements, aligning them to business objectives, and building functional engineering requirements.
  • Strong prioritization skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects and programs of varying lengths while managing trade-offs that align strategically to the vision of your portfolio and the product organization.
  • Advanced skills in analyzing product data to advise both long-term strategy and short-term solutions that will delight employees. Proven ability to break down complex problems into steps that drive agile product development in partnership with UX and engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience designing, shipping, or integrating AI-powered tools and experiences that meaningfully augment employee productivity.
  • Proficient with visual design and diagramming tools for wire-framing, product ideation, and communicating concepts effectively with design and engineering partners.
  • Experience working with vendor-managed products and roadmaps, including influencing and aligning external partners to internal priorities.
  • Experience managing and rationalizing a portfolio of tools, with a strong instinct for identifying redundancy, driving consolidation, and simplifying the number of solutions employees need to navigate without sacrificing capability or experience quality.
  • Keen ability to rally teams and shepherd product development from discovery to launch with an unparalleled focus on customer experience and strategy.
  • Highly confident leading teams and driving cross-functional alignment in ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead with influence and present effectively to senior leadership.
  • Experience mentoring product managers and contributing to the growth of the broader product organization.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
