APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Implement, execute, and maintain software tests for mobile applications and frameworks via automated and manual test methods. Validate new product features and conduct regression tests with a focus on reliability and functionality. Test at every phase of the product lifecycle, with adherence to SQA requirements. Detect and isolate bugs utilizing test suites informed by technical specification documents. Document issues accurately, escalating, and tracking them until resolution. Represent QA when collaborating with participating teams on large cross-functional projects. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 - $213,700/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.   • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
  • Education and/or experience must include:
  • Creating and updating test cases using test plan software like Jira or similar to provide coverage of both new feature functionality and legacy behavior.
  • Applying both black box and gray box test methods to validate mobile and web applications configured on different platforms and devices.
  • Executing both structured and ad-hoc tests aligned with development sprints (agile approach) and post-implementation (waterfall methodology).
  • Utilizing Python, Swift, or JavaScript to write and run test automation plus streamline operational workflows.
  • Using scripting to functionally test REST or native APIs, and database integration.
  • Reviewing software defects in bug tracking systems like Jira or similar to provide decision support and actionable insights for triage.
  • Investigating and characterizing issues by analyzing logs and providing reproducible steps to aid developers in root cause detection.
