Our team is collaborative, creative and passionate about what we do and the products we make. We want to hear from you!
This is an outstanding hardware design position with a focus on new product integration and development of new technologies for rigid, flex, and substrate PCB designs across iPhone products under close collaboration with key cross functional partners in San Diego.
- Own the design, integration, and validation of main logic boards and system flex circuits. Perform component fit/routing layout studies, and influence overall system-level solutions that meet product goals and push the boundaries of technology.
- Develop technology solutions at the PCB/module level that enable various product goals in cost, thermal performance, battery life, reliability, and environmental impact.
- Collaborate with technology teams exploring process improvements and materials that enable reductions in routing density, power loss, coexistence, and insertion loss while keeping solution dimensions the same or smaller.
- BS Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent with strong engineering fundamentals
- Experience with electrical system integration involving product-focused module, operational and mechanical cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to analyze solutions and make system design trade-offs
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Experience with schematic capture and rigid/flexible PCB layout
- 5+ years of industry experience, or 2+ years of project lead experience
- Exposure to solving unwanted coupling and interference between subsystems
- Familiarity with the challenges of taking a product from early architecture through to production
- Hands on experience with lab test equipment to debug difficult/intermittent hardware issues
- Understanding of low voltage power regulation and delivery
- Experience in prototype design and validation of custom silicon
- Ability to use scripting languages to assist with hardware development
