APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Perform requirement gathering, analysis, estimation, design, development and implementation of cloud based distributed software applications; Interface with business users for gathering and analyzing requirements, estimating the effort, identifying the tools and techniques, and writing code for new features, and enhancements to existing features and bug fixes; Create prototypes and Proof of Concepts of features to demonstrate to end users. Design and develop RESTful microservices using JAVA, J2 EE, Spring MVC, Spring JDBC, JAXB, Netty framework and Oracle; Develop front-end user interface for applications using web-programming technologies: HTML, CSS, Typescript, JavaScript and AngularJS; Develop applications that consume RESTful Application Programming Interfaces (APls) exposed from other applications within Apple that provide services like authentication, data storage, and fraud detection; Write scripts using Python and Shell programming languages; Write automated tests using jUnit, Mockito or similar technologies; Offer thought leadership for improvements including identifying better human interface (HI) capabilities to improve user efficiency, proposing modern software libraries and tools to improve reliability and velocity of software development; Write effectual, concise, scalable, and maintainable code that will make the user experience as fast, reliable, and error-free as possible; Performance tune applications by identifying bottlenecks in code, platform or architecture; Secure applications by deploying common encryption algorithms as applicable; and Review code, test, deployment and post-production support. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 - $272,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. - Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Designing and developing RESTful microservices using JAVA, and Spring MVC, JAXB on Oracle.
- Writing automated test cases using jUnit framework and mocking frameworks like Mockito.
- Writing backend jobs using scripting languages Python and Unix Shell scripts.
- Developing front-end user interface using web-programming technologies: HTML, CSS, Typescript, JavaScript and Angular.
- 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Identifying bottlenecks in code, platform and architecture to performance tune applications using jprofiler or other profiling tools.
- Reviewing SQL execution plans to optimize queries.
- Utilizing knowledge of JSON, XML, Jackson, GSON and JAXB to write applications that consume RESTful Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
- 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Documenting API contracts using tools like Swagger.
- 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Deploying common encryption algorithms like SHA, AES, and GPG to secure applications.
