The Department of Information Systems in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank starting Fall 2026.

Essential Functions: The candidate must contribute to the Department of Information Systems’ mission in the areas of research, teaching and service, and must be able and willing to teach AI in business, business analytics and information systems courses to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

1) A PhD in business administration, information systems, or a closely related field; ABD candidates must successfully defend their dissertation by July 1, 2026
2) Evidence of potential for excellence in research publications at top-tier journals and a promising agenda.

Desired Qualifications:

1) A strong research agenda as evidenced by papers published or forthcoming in premier academic journals
2) Demonstrated knowledge of artificial intelligence through innovative teaching practices, cutting-edge research, and/or thought leadership in academic or professional communities
3) Demonstrated evidence of teaching potential for excellence at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels
4) Industry partnerships or sponsored research collaborations

Application Instructions

Application deadline is November 20, 2025. Applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis for a reserve pool. Applications in the reserve pool may then be reviewed every two weeks in the order in which they were received until the position is filled. Candidates will be asked to create or use an existing Interfolio Dossier to submit the following:

  1. A cover letter that addresses how you meet the qualifications and why you are interested in this position at ASU
  2. A resume or CV (including a list of manuscripts under review and identifying the journal and review status)
  3. A research statement
  4. A research portfolio (journal publications or working papers)
  5. A teaching statement with any evidence of teaching competency/teaching evaluations (if available)
  6. A list of references
