Your communication skills, focus on process efficiency, combined with your outstanding Excel knowledge, will have you quickly ramping up to speed on the preparation of monthly Financial Projection Models. This high-visibility position is designed for an individual who excels at proactively seeking out adjustments and anticipates additional reporting metrics while giving meticulous attention to detail to the standard reports. Working with a small, highly visible FP&A Team will allow you to learn and grow as much as you desire within this strategic position and to grow your career with AssetMark.
This is a full-time position in our Charlotte, NC office with a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly expense reviews with Cost Center Managers
- Work with Cost Center Managers to provide Short-term/Mid-term Expense Forecasts
- Analyze root causes of variances, propose recommendations on areas of improvement, develop frameworks to help prioritize initiatives, and support implementation of automation improvements
- Provide Expense variance analysis to Management
- Administrate Workday Adaptive Planning and expand reporting, proactively address changes to the forecast
- Work with Cost Center Managers/Functional Leaders to drive expense scaling initiatives and develop a framework for reporting and tracking
- Headcount tracking and reporting
- Assist in annual budgeting and long-range planning exercises
- Estimate and Book Monthly Expense Accruals
- Assist the Controllership team with the accounting close process and improvement initiatives
- Provide Key Expense/Capital Pages for Monthly Management Board Deck
- Maintain a listing of Adjustments to EBITDA and maintain the corresponding support
- Ownership of Monthly FPA Calendar
- Partner with cross-functional teams across AssetMark and develop a strong collaborative relationship with key stakeholders across the company
- Other projects and duties as assigned (includes ad-hoc reporting and analysis, assistance with budgets
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, enterprise software/financial systems, and business application skills (e.g., Adaptive Planning, SAP, NetSuite, Oracle; Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong project management skills with a focus on organization, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask
- Ability to navigate through various levels of detail, demonstrating flexibility to dive into details as well as think big picture
- Ability and aspiration to grow, learn, and develop communication and interpersonal skills to gain trust and influence across the organization
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence across the organization
- Solid ability to review complex business issues and develop recommendations
- Proven track record of increased responsibilities
- Detail-oriented, process-oriented
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline, and preferably 1 to 3 years of related experience
- CPA or working towards a CPA is always a plus
- Experience managing and maintaining databases and application systems, ability to quickly learn new custom programs and systems, being tech-savvy is a huge plus
Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $70,000-$75,000.
This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.
