Principal Product Marketing Manager, AI Experiences
Atlassian
Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
Atlassian is looking for a Principal Product Marketing Manager responsible for shaping the future of Rovo, Atlassian’s flagship AI product. In this role, you’ll sit at the center of product, marketing, and growth—driving strategy, informing roadmap, and unlocking adoption through analysis, customer insights, and storytelling.
This is an ideal role for a PMM who is highly analytical, strategically minded, and passionate about bringing technical products to market. You'll own positioning, partner with product to influence what we build, and work across teams to ensure Rovo drives real customer value and sustained growth.
You won't just support GTM—you’ll shape it, with a deep focus on data, conversion, experimentation, and storytelling that connects users to product value.
Responsibilities
Roadmap & Strategy Partnership: Serve as a key voice of the customer to inform product roadmap and prioritization. Collaborate closely with Product Management and Design to align product strategy with market opportunities and growth potential.
Adoption & Growth Strategy: Own the strategy and execution of programs that drive product adoption, activation, and retention. Identify friction points in the user journey and partner with Product, Growth, and Analytics to test and iterate on improvements.
Positioning & Messaging: Develop crisp, compelling messaging that differentiates Rovo in a fast-evolving AI market. Ensure messaging is rooted in customer insights and resonates with technical and business audiences alike.
Conversion Optimization: Analyze user behavior across the funnel to uncover conversion drop-offs and growth levers. Design and execute messaging, onboarding, and content experiments to improve trial, usage, and paid conversion.
Go-to-Market Planning: Partner with cross-functional teams to launch new features, campaigns, and growth motions. Ensure launches are informed by customer needs and GTM efforts are tied to measurable business outcomes.
Customer & Competitive Insights: Lead research efforts to understand user needs, use cases, and market trends. Turn insights into actionable recommendations that influence both product direction and marketing tactics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with Product, Analytics, Design, Growth, and Sales to align on goals, share insights, and create cohesive customer experiences.
8+ years in product marketing, growth marketing, or strategy roles—preferably with experience in B2B SaaS, AI, developer tools, or other technical products.
Strong analytical mindset, with a deep understanding of growth metrics, product funnels, and experimentation frameworks. Proficient in interpreting data and running analysis to drive decision-making.
Proven track record of influencing product roadmaps and go-to-market plans based on user insights and market research.
Excellent positioning and messaging skills, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into clear customer value and compelling narratives.
Experience driving adoption and product-led growth, including working on onboarding, in-product messaging, and conversion optimization.
Highly collaborative, with a proven ability to partner cross-functionally and influence without authority.
Self-starter mentality, with the ability to operate autonomously, make data-driven decisions, and take ownership of key strategic initiatives.
Comfort with technical domains, particularly AI, machine learning, or developer products—technical fluency a strong plus.
