UX Researcher
People & Operations | Job ID 3201232Job Summary
At Audible, we believe stories have the power to transform lives. It’s why we work with some of the world’s leading creators to produce and share audio storytelling with our millions of global listeners. We are dreamers and inventors who come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to empower and inspire each other. Imagine your future with us.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
Revolutionizing the storytelling experience is just part of an Audible UX Researcher's daily to-do list. You'll design and conduct comprehensive user studies to uncover deep insights about listener behaviors and preferences. Like us, you're customer obsessed, and every research question you pursue will be driven by your profound understanding and curiosity about the customer experience. Just when it seems a product is understood, you'll devise a new study to uncover hidden user needs.
ABOUT YOU
You immerse yourself in customers' experiences and the world around you to uncover deep insights and drive meaningful innovations. As an expert in research methodologies, you guide teams to valuable discoveries, leaving no question unasked; you're passionate about uncovering both the overarching patterns and the nuanced details. The passion of synthesizing findings is matched only by the excitement of sharing actionable insights with your team. You're eager to refine your research techniques and expand your analytical toolkit, but it's the collaborative journey of discovery with your team that truly motivates you.
As a UX Researcher, you will…
- Lead all phases of user research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting, communicating), making decisions to evaluate which user research methodology approaches work and which don’t, while working with limited guidance
- Design and conduct a wide spectrum of studies, ranging from quick usability tests on UserTesting in order to uncover friction in the user experience to diary studies on dScout and foundational interviews to uncover people's core needs, motivations, and goals
- Experiment with and integrate AI technologies throughout the research process and product development lifecycle, such as building storyboards and prototypes, and using AI to support research tasks
- Become a domain expert in the entertainment and media industry through use of prototypes and competitive/complementary products, as well as reviewing industry trends to develop a deep product intuition that guides your research
- Communicate the findings of your research and the impact on product and team goals
