Job Description:
This role is responsible for planning, solutioning, coordinating, and delivery of defined project deliverables for a larger program which requires engagement with multiple application teams across the organizations. Key responsibilities include communicating the requirements, target outcomes, coordinating delivery, managing risks, ensuring compliance to standards, and providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the program. Delivery lead ensures execution and delivery meets the client’s expectations in terms of the functionality, quality, target outcomes, timeline, and cost. Delivery Lead is also expected to manage financials for the program, assist with resource planning, and facilitate as sync points between business and technology leaders across multiple organizations, as well as Risk and Compliance partners.
Responsibilities:
- Establishes the target outcomes in partnership with the stakeholders and leaders.
- Establishes and builds relationships with business and technology leaders across multiple organizations, as well as Compliance and Risk.
- Coordinates and facilitates the program routines – e.g. kick-off, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc.
- Plans and coordinates delivery and dependencies across multiple organizations.
- Promotes/facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to achieve the target outcomes and timeline.
- Facilitates dependency management/risk management/issue resolution/impediment removal.
- Responsible to provide status updates to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to the target outcomes, delivery, risks/issues, and schedule.
- Ensures that execution is aligned with target outcomes by working with the sponsor/stakeholders.
- Ensures the work delivered complies with Enterprise Change Management standards.
- Tracks the success metrics and reviews performance with stakeholders and leadership.
- Manages the financials and assists with resource planning for the program. Also, manages vendors sourcing, resources, and SOW’s.
- Provides input to define/improve the Change Management process for the Portfolio
Required Skills:
- Overall technical lead having end to end responsibility of all technical aspect of a project, including effort estimate and budget management, application design, bank technology standard governance, IT security management, SIT and UAT coordination, pre-production implementation and post-production application support handover.
- Work with:
- Line of Business to elicit, define and prioritize project requirements.
- Solution Architects to ensure solutions support bank technology strategy and standard.
- Architects / vendors / in-house developers to translate solutions into system implementation.
- Establish SOW with vendor, monitor vendor progress throughout the project life cycle as part of vendor management responsibility.
- Communicate project status, resource constrains and open issues to Portfolio/Program Manager on a timely manner.
- Address technical queries and issues arising from users, vendors, and developers.
- Share business knowledge throughout the team on a regular basis.
- Ensured that development activities satisfy applicable local regulatory requirements.
- Direct Regulatory/Clearing House engagements and/or through their appointed vendor(s)
- Strong discipline in system risk management
- Mandate for the candidate to be native bi-lingual (both Japanese and English and read-write, Korean will be a plus) technical strong in solution design, project management, test management and vendor management, implemented banking projects throughout full Software Delivery Life Cycle.
Desired Skills:
- Manage projects following the Bank’s ECMS (Enterprise Change Management System) Process and ensure proper project documentation is in place and in good standard.
- Work closely with Global Payment Service, Products, Operations and Systems Developments in justifying projects to proceed, and ensure projects should be implemented with good user acceptance level.
- Facilitate in project meetings and different work sessions to ensure different support teams are clear about the responsibilities and roles to play.
- Monitor and provide updates to senior management upon the project proceedings, alert and escalate to appropriate level of management when issues or risks are identified which can jeopardize the projects.
- Work closely with other project managers, to share knowledge on project proceeds, and actively react to issues that may have negative impact to any projects.
- Help the manager to plan for resources allocation and provide cross project support to the team.
- Help and govern initiatives establishment, during the idea generation stage, to ensure the objectives against risk and benefits are well balanced.
- Ensure projects are managed within planned budget and schedule, upon the need for deviations, raise alert to steering committee to compromise on the actions be taken
