Role Description:

We are a back-office operations team responsible for delivering many varied operational functions related to our Commercial Card programme to ensure that we provide the best possible service to our clients.

The Team consists of six analysts who complete the day-to-day activities, and a team leader who co-ordinates the workflow for the team, manages training of the team members and handles escalations from clients and internal business partners.

Responsibilities:

  • International payment activities – all below processes utilise seven EMEA and three APAC currencies.
  • Distribution of Direct Debit mandates as requested & set up of incoming Direct Debit mandates using understanding of international Direct Debit schemes to determine the appropriate mandate to be distributed and process to follow when applying to accounts.
  • Allocation of bulk payments to individual accounts. Investigate rejected payments to repair/reallocate payments to correct accounts, though use of banking system.
  • Processing outgoing payments where customers request payments to be returned using knowledge of international payment schemes to determine the requirements for different currencies.
  • Processing monetary adjustments on accounts including applying manual payments where bulk payments are made by clients or reversing rejected payments.
  • Dealing with ad-hoc requests relating to international payments raised by internal business partners or clients directly. Working directly with the internal teams to resolve more complex queries.
  • Perform mass-updates to accounts.
  • Assisting with card and print production activities.
  • Production of regular Management Information reports and providing ad-hoc reports to business partners in relation to specific clients.

What we are looking for:

  • Broad understanding of card management products
  • Able to demonstrate high level of accuracy while working with a large volume of tasks to tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills to enable interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organisational skills required to manage varied a workload.
  • Demonstration of Teamwork/Collaboration.
  • Advanced excel skills e.g. pivot tables, lookup formulas and Visual Basic Macros.

Skills that will help (optional):

  • Previous experience dealing with payment related functions in a financial institution, especially credit cards.
