Global Markets Operations Fulltime Analyst Program

Why Us?

Global Markets Operations (GMO) support equity, fixed income and derivatives transactions executed by the Global Markets business for institutional investors in Japan and overseas. Our responsibilities include trade processing and settlement, as well as exchange clearing and collateral management for listed products. In addition, we are involved in a wide range of activities such as client KYC, regulatory reporting, and project management.

In GMO:

  • Securities Core Trading Operations – Manages the daily operations supporting our Global Markets clients. The team handles post-trade activities and supports the firm's agency and principal trading businesses. Functions include Trade Processing, Settlements, Stock Lending, and Trade Control. As a key partner to the business, the team ensures the accurate capture of trading activities and the timely confirmation and settlement of transactions. Responsibilities may include trade booking, enrichment and correction, reconciliation, inventory management, stock borrowing, and other post-trade activities.
  • Cash Management Services – Manages the firm's overall funding positions and ensures the accurate and timely processing of payments.
  • Client Assets Control Group – Provides oversight and governance of client asset protection across the organization.
  • Client Services – Manages and strengthens client relationships by supporting their operational needs.
  • Collateral Operations – Manages collateral booking and settlement activities for market risk-sensitive products, ensuring timely and accurate processing of collateral movements and settlements.
  • Onboarding – Implements products and services for Global Markets clients and conducts end-to-end AML/CDD reviews for Global Banking, Global Markets, and Investment Banking clients.
  • Reference Data and Data Management – Manages the creation and maintenance of account-level reference data to facilitate the processing and settlement of trades across all Global Markets product classes.

Operations:

The Operations team ensures that transactions such as payments, loans, and trade activities are processed accurately, safely, and on time for commercial and corporate clients globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and settle transactions, including payments, credit, and trade activities
  • Maintain accurate records of loan assets and deposits
  • Ensure all transactions are executed accurately and in compliance with internal policies and local regulations
  • Proactively identify, assess, and escalate operational risks and issues in a timely manner
  • Partner with Sales teams to provide operational solutions for complex transactions
  • Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and change initiatives
  • Support compliance with regulatory requirements and assist with audits and regulatory reviews
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality service aligned with market-leading standards

Client Fulfillment:

The Client Fulfillment team manages new client onboarding for Global Transaction Services, a core business within Bank of America’s global franchise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full onboarding lifecycle from account opening to service activation, coordinating with internal teams and clients to ensure timely and smooth delivery
  • Document collection, review, and validation
  • Account and treasury product setup, including e-banking and Host-to-Host connectivity, conduct testing, and deliver client training and support
  • Continuously drive improvements across people, process, controls, and client service

Client Service:

The Client Service team supports onboarded clients in their day-to-day business activities, including transaction support and handling general and technical inquiries.

  • Support over 5.5 million client inquiries annually across 12 countries in Asia Pacific
  • Provide proactive client outreach to enhance client experience
  • Ensure timely and accurate responses to all client inquiries in line with service standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and resolve client inquiries proactively and efficiently
  • Communicate clearly and provide updates on inquiry status
  • Collaborate with local and overseas stakeholders
  • Analyze inquiry trends to identify issues and opportunities for improvement
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and planning processes
  • Contribute to local and regional projects
  • Continuously drive improvements across people, process, controls, and client service
