Job Summary

Battelle’s Biomedical Research Center is currently seeking a System Analyst I. This position is located in West Jefferson, OH. This position will work with Instem’s Windows-based Provantis software for simple and complex studies within a GLP environment. The System Analyst I will validate and test the electronic data capture systems (EDCS) modify training curriculum, provide end user electronic data capture system support and assist in the development and implementation of new capabilities. This position is subject to a 9/80 work schedule (eight 9-hour days, one 8-hour day, and one day off in a 2-week period) plus occasional overtime on nights and weekends (on-call for updates); schedule may include holidays.

Responsibilities

• Validate and Test electronic data capture systems (Provantis, Logbook, GEN5, Asset Panda, PipetteX)
• Serve as the Backup Administrator for access to electronic data capture systems
• Adjust system libraries and configuration
• Develop, review and modify the training documentation of the electronic data capture systems
• Ensure staff are trained and training is compliant with the SOPs
• Troubleshoot electronic data capture systems
• Draft or modify SOPs for the electronic data capture systems
• Develop and implement new capabilities within the electronic data capture systems
• Coordinate with System Administrators and end users to analyze the business need and collect requirements
• Test new capabilities
• Run test scripts when system needs updated
• Communicate and collaborate directly with internal and external resources as directed by management.
• Display an interest in developing job skills and in gaining additional expertise through training and/or educational study.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a team environment.

Key Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
• Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic data capture software.
• Newly hired employees are subject to a 90-day Introductory Period, during which their performance is evaluated by supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preference will be given to candidates with lab experience.
• Preference will be given to candidates with IT experience.
• Preference will be given to candidates with Provantis and Logbook experience.
