Bloomberg LP has built a significant media business spanning television, digital, magazine, radio and live event platforms across the globe. In the midst of a historic time in the industry, Bloomberg Media is growing its global footprint and reach through new innovations.
Our Community Innovation team is looking for a creative and driven professional to join us for a 9-month engagement. In this role, you’ll help shape the next phase of our thought leadership programming and global convenings—from live panels to closed-door roundtables with influential leaders. You’ll collaborate across Bloomberg to build compelling experiences that engage our international network of partners, sponsors, and changemakers.
This role reports to the Executive Director, Community Innovation and is based at Bloomberg’s New York headquarters.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design & Deliver Global Experiences: Research and write content, identify and invite speakers and expert participants, and manage content-related logistics for live partner/sponsor programming at major global events—such as the Bloomberg New Economy Forum, Davos, UN General Assembly Week, and the Qatar Economic Forum.
- Support High-Level Coalitions: Help coordinate invitation-only working groups focused on critical topics like health, energy, technology, and cities. Plan roundtables, shape content, and generate clear takeaways.
- Lead Strategic Communications: Craft program narratives, write session descriptions, develop briefings, and prepare speakers and moderators with detailed background research.
- Manage Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with sponsors, partners, moderators, and participants—leading outreach, coordinating prep calls, and ensuring seamless delivery before, during, and after events.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with colleagues across live events, advertising, editorial, client services, production, marketing, and communications to execute at a high level.
YOU’LL NEED TO BRING
- 7+ years of experience in media, events, speaker programming, consulting, government, strategy, publishing, nonprofit, or research (client-facing work is a plus)
- Exceptional writing and research skills, especially in simplifying complex topics for a broad audience
- Experience working with decision-makers and leaders in the public and private sector
WE’D LOVE IF YOU ALSO HAVE
- An eye for design and experience working with creative teams
- A passion for global challenges—especially health, climate, cities, infrastructure, or emerging markets
- A curious, collaborative, and solutions-oriented attitude, with a strong attention to detail and polish under pressure
IF THIS SOUNDS LIKE YOU:
