We’re looking for a Senior Data Science & Insights Manager to join our APAC team, operating at the intersection of Research & Insights and Data Science. This is a dual-role position combining hands-on analytical delivery with regional leadership in data science strategy, supporting Bloomberg Media’s advertising business.
You’ll work closely with commercial teams, global data science partners, and senior stakeholders to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive revenue and client impact. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape audience strategy in APAC, influence global frameworks, and deliver high-impact research and analytics in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
We’ll trust you to:
- Develop and deliver commercially relevant insights using Bloomberg proprietary tools, syndicated research, and web analytics
- Create and maintain audience narratives, category materials, and sales enablement content for internal partners
- Manage execution of customized research studies, including design, analysis, and reporting
- Analyze multi-source datasets to produce competitive insights and market positioning
- Own APAC audience strategy and advanced targeting initiatives in alignment with global data science frameworks
- Partner with global teams to localize and implement models, methodologies, and workflows across the region
- Support strategic accounts and pitches with data-driven solutions, defining targets and success metrics
- Build scalable analytical workflows and ensure high standards of data quality, governance, and documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve tools, reporting, and methodologies to drive efficiency and growth
- Monitor market, regulatory, and technology trends to inform partnerships and innovation
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or degree‑equivalent qualifications
- 10+ years of research, or data analysis roles within media, advertising, or market research companies
- Proficient in SQL and experience working with large-scale data environments (BigQuery required)
- Experience communicating technical, data-driven insights to non-technical audiences, such as translating analysis into business recommendations, or presenting analytical findings to internal partners or external clients
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize insights from complex, multi-source datasets
- Experience with digital analytics platforms such as Google Ad Manager, Google Analytics, or Adobe Analytics
- Working knowledge of Python or R for statistical analysis and modeling, or has the willingness to upskill
- Experience with statistical methods, including regression techniques
- Familiarity with ad tech platforms and audience data integrations (first- and third-party)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
- Fluency in both spoken and written English
- Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
We’d love to see:
- Experience with syndicated media datasets (e.g., Comscore, Nielsen, Ipsos, GWI)
- Background in primary research design (quantitative and qualitative)
- Experience with data visualization tools and advanced Excel/PowerPoint capabilities
- Understanding of data privacy regulations and governance standards
- Familiarity with generative AI tools to enhance analysis and workflow efficiency
