The Department of Epidemiology at the BU School of Public Health is seeking an Administrative Research Coordinator responsible for coordinating everyday operations of several research grants related to psychiatric epidemiology. The Administrative Research Coordinator will develop and carry out research and conference activities and protocols, provide support to investigators, students, and research assistants, and serve as a liaison between grants management and investigators.

Specific duties will include:

  • Essential administrative tasks and operations, including keeping track of documents for research meetings, support in planning meetings, following up with action items, tracking progress, communicating with the investigative team, helping with project reports. In addition, the project coordinator will oversee website management.
  • Serve as a liaison to research and grant co-investigators. Communicate with BU-specific grant administrators. Organize research meetings and distribute materials, as needed.
  • Conduct literature reviews, data analysis, draft and/or edit research manuscripts, and contribute to new manuscript proposals related to the grant's aims. Contribute to other research projects as co-author, including code review and revising manuscripts.
  • Develop IRB protocols and prepare materials for continuing IRB review. Develop organizational tools and protocols. Submit reimbursements from conferences and research meetings.

Required Skills

Required skills:

  • A master's degree in a related discipline is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a high volume, deadline-oriented customer-focused environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • This is an in-person/on-premises role with occasional opportunity for remote work.
