About the Role:

As a CBRE Mobile Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of critical building systems across a diverse portfolio of properties in Stockton, CA. This client-facing role requires a proactive individual capable of ensuring the operational excellence, safety, and compliance of various facilities, including Healthcare Medical Office Buildings (MOBs), residential sites, and a laboratory. The successful candidate will operate a company-provided vehicle to travel between ten sites, all located within Stockton, CA.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:
  • Perform and oversee comprehensive maintenance and repairs for mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems to ensure all facilities meet applicable standards.
  • Review and prioritize assigned work orders, accurately estimating the time and materials required for completion, and efficiently managing inventory of necessary supplies and tools.
  • Develop and implement robust preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of building machinery and systems, and coordinate emergency maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of building and industrial systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to verify optimal operation within design specifications and to achieve prescribed environmental conditions for clients.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all pertinent codes, regulations, governmental agency requirements, and company directives related to building operations and workplace safety.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients on-site, providing professional and clear communication regarding maintenance activities, issues, and resolutions.
  • Operate and maintain company-issued vehicles responsibly for daily work responsibilities, traveling efficiently between various sites within Stockton, CA.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information.
What You’ll Need:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification and Valid Driver’s license required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Mobile Engineer position is $80,000 annually [or $38.46 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Mobile Engineer position is $85,500 annually [or $41.11 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
