The Opportunity:
As an Electrical Engineer at CBRE, you'll be at the heart of maintaining and enhancing critical infrastructure for a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. What You'll Do:
- Perform comprehensive planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and swiftly address reactive maintenance tasks across a variety of electrical systems, including distribution boards, lighting, power outlets, and vital plant equipment.
- Diagnose complex electrical issues and execute repairs to maintain peak operational performance.
- Ensure rigorous statutory compliance and conduct thorough inspections, keeping our facilities safe and up to code.
- Oversee and coordinate specialist contractors, upholding CBRE's stringent quality and safety standards.
- Contribute to energy-saving and optimisation initiatives, playing a key role in our commitment to sustainable site operations.
- Maintain meticulous records using Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) systems and adhere to all Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (QHSE) procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow engineers, stakeholders, and clients to deliver exceptional service and foster strong relationships.
- Depending on the role's seniority, you may also lead electrical projects, develop and implement innovative electrical systems, and design critical infrastructure such as fire alarm systems.
What We're Looking For:
- A recognised electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Relevant certification, such as the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within commercial or industrial environments.
- Strong working knowledge of commercial electrical systems, distribution boards, lighting, and associated plant rooms.
- A solid understanding of safe electrical isolation procedures and permit-to-work processes.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
- A proactive approach to health and safety practices and risk assessment requirements.
