Our Opportunity:
Chewy’s mission is to be the most trusted and convenient destination for pet parents and partners everywhere. Our Chewy Health team is redefining how pet parents and veterinarians care for pets, through an integrated experience across in-clinic, at-home, and app-based care.
We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager – Pet Portal, based in Bellevue, WA or Boston, MA. In this role, you will lead the vision, roadmap, and delivery for Pet Portal—a key destination for pet parents to plan routine care, receive expert advice, and discover personalized products and services. This platform connects directly to the Chewy App and Care experiences in a highly personalized way.
This is a unique opportunity to shape how Chewy delivers modern pet care—and to lead an early-stage, high-impact product from 1 to 10. You will be responsible for the product roadmap – defining customers-first features, setting priorities, coordinating with UX and Tech Team Members, and handling development from intake through delivery. You’ll ensure features launch on time, drive key performance indicators, and drive ongoing improvements.
What You’ll Do:
Build a Customer-Centered Experience
- Champion a customer-first mindset to build an integrated, delightful Pet Portal experience.
- Deeply understand pet parent needs and identify new opportunities to improve how care is delivered across Chewy.
- Collaborate with UX, UXR, and analytics to uncover insights that improve in-app and end-to-end care journeys.
Drive Product Lifecycle
- Translate insights into clear product requirements, user stories, and documentation.
- Define success metrics, prioritize based on impact, and iterate based on data.
- Craft compelling narratives that align short-term deliverables with long-term vision.
Drive Roadmap & Execution
- Develop and lead the product roadmap and backlog to align with customer needs and business goals.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, and key cross-functional teams (e.g., payments, personalization, health services).
- Establish and run strong mechanisms for alignment and progress tracking across technical and non-technical partners.
Deliver Results & Continuous Improvement
- Track performance of features post-launch and clearly communicate outcomes.
- Use insights to continuously refine the experience and influence what comes next.
- Identify and resolve risks proactively to keep projects on track.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally
- Work with product, engineering, UX, customer service, Chewy Health, and Chewy Core teams, as well as merchandising and executive stakeholders.
- Align and implement a long-term product vision that increases the reach and engagement of the Pet Portal.
What You’ll Need:
Experience & Background
- 6+ years of professional experience in digital product management or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- Proven track record owning products from ideation through delivery—either independently or by leading teams.
Product Thinking
- Demonstrated ability to solve real customer problems in ways that also deliver business value.
- Strong ability to connect the dots between insights, product architecture, and long-term strategy.
- Comfortable zooming out to drive vision—and zooming in to write the spec.
Communication & Teamwork
- Clear, effective communicator—capable of aligning stakeholders across teams and levels.
- Collaborative partner who brings others along in the process.
Data & Detail Orientation
- Comfortable using data to inform decisions, measure success, and uncover new opportunities.
- Strong attention to detail; able to prioritize and execute in complex, fast-moving environments.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Understanding of the pet care industry and current trends shaping the space.
- Experience working with healthcare technology, especially EMRs, PIMS, or other health information management systems.
- Experience in e-commerce in a B2C environment.
Work Arrangement:
- Hybrid Model: 3 days in hub location per week
- Remote: This role is NOT a remote role.
