Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for an experienced Product Manager to own product components and customer experiences that support the SmartPak business. As a product management practitioner, you will contribute to product strategy, own the roadmap for a set of product components, and generate ideas for new capabilities and enhancement opportunities while ensuring we continue to raise the bar for our customers.
You will work cross-functionally across Product, UXD, UXR, Technology, Marketing, Merchandising, Customer Service, Operations, Analytics, and business teams to create and build support for a shared product vision. You will also serve as a key customer advocate, ensuring the voice of the customer is embedded in business decisions.

What You’ll Do:
Own the end-to-end customer journey and product roadmap for a set of SmartPak product components or features within a broader portfolio.
Think strategically and long-term, acquire a deep understanding of the SmartPak customer, business model, and equine retail experience, and be the subject matter expert for your assigned product area.
Understand the key features and functionality of Chewy’s digital customer experience and identify opportunities to optimize, simplify, and improve SmartPak customer journeys.
Develop a keen understanding of the product design and development process, identifying areas of improvement and implementing process solutions quickly.
Contribute to product strategy for your area of ownership, providing insights, customer data, business inputs, feasibility considerations, and roadmap recommendations.
Set product priorities, build consensus, coordinate feature releases, and communicate internal and external impacts.
Utilize data to understand customer behavior, customer needs, and business objectives; enable the team to transform that knowledge into product enhancements and new features.
Write detailed requirements, use cases, user stories, and product documents, and communicate them effectively with business stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with UX Design and Research teams on customer research, ensuring new features meet customer and business needs.
Work closely with key cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the vision aligns with broader company objectives.
Monitor performance of initiatives and measure the impact of product enhancements.
Communicate product strategy and status to key stakeholders across Chewy; develop or improve mechanisms for product intake, prioritization, roadmap visibility, and feature enhancement suggestions.
Balance agile product delivery with strategic priorities, identify scope or delivery risks, and make recommendations to de-risk projects.
What You’ll Need:
3+ years of progressive experience in product management or a related field; e-commerce, retail, or customer-facing digital experience preferred.
2+ years working in a Supply Chain, Transportation context or related field
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, Statistics, or a related technical or quantitative field, or equivalent work experience.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of ownership, customer obsession, ability to keep up with the pace of e-commerce, data-driven decision-making, big-picture thinking, and the ability to think through complex systems design solutions.
Experience developing product strategy, defining detailed product requirements, prioritizing product roadmaps, leading cross-functional work, and working at a fast pace to deliver results.
Strong product management skills with demonstrated product launches, high attention to detail and situational fluency, ability to influence and motivate others, and perseverance to handle challenging business situations and make trade-offs.
Experience working in an agile software development environment leveraging Scrum; track record of building productive relationships with engineering leadership.
Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative customer insights using dashboard reporting and pulling data directly from reporting database (SQL) , define clear customer solutions, and connect product decisions to measurable business outcomes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Position may require travel.
Bonus:
MBA or equivalent advanced academic degree.
Experience supporting equine, animal health, specialty retail, subscription, marketplace, or service-oriented customer experiences.
Experience with product analytics, experimentation, UAT, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or product management applications.
Experience partnering across Product Design, Research, Engineering, Merchandising, Marketing, Operations/ Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Analytics.
The base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $160,000.00.
The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant. C08+ positions may also be eligible for annual bonus.

Exempt salary team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
