The Claims Business Intelligence Senior Analyst is responsible for delivering comprehensive analysis and actionable insights to support the Claims organization. This role leverages deep expertise in data analysis, reporting, and visualization to drive strategic process improvements, inform executive decision-making, and enhance claims outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support data needs of Claims Actuarial team for their monthly and quarterly reports. Implement new data splits and improvements as needed.
- Design, develop, and automate advanced dashboards and reports leveraging BI tools, strategic data products and latest technology.
- Analyze large, complex claims datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational and strategic improvement.
- Lead high-impact, cross-functional projects, support claims data committee, and fulfill ad hoc data analytics requests.
- Collaborate with Claims, IT, and cross-functional business units to gather requirements and translate business needs into robust analytical solutions. Verify that key data attributes are accurate and meet reporting needs.
- Present complex findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders at various levels.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging BI technologies.
- Manage and mentor 1-2 onshore or offshore junior analysts or BI developers.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields
- 5+ years of experience in P&C insurance industry focusing on data-driven decision-making; Claims data & analytics experience a plus
- Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik), programming language (SQL, R, Python), and Excel (advanced functions)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management, and organizational skills
- Results-oriented with proven track records of successful deliverables with measurable impact, keen attention to details
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts and analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
The pay range for the role is $104,800 to $178,100. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
