Chubb’s Global Safety, Security and Business Continuity Management (GSSBCM) has critical areas that are driven by a Duty of Care to protect our people, property, reputation, and brand. GSSBCM acts as a shared service to support Chubb Business Units and corporate functions – as an integrator that can assist with reducing risk, and enhancing resilience, through deliberate planning, progressively challenging exercises, and transparent policies and processes.

The Senior Security Manager, Philadelphia Security Operations, will be primarily overseeing organization and management of physical security programs to ensure safety of all Chubb personnel, guests, property and assets in the greater Philadelphia area. The Senior Security Manager will report to GS Lead, North America.

Note: This is an on-site position, requiring an in-office presence 5 days a week.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervision, administration and operation of Chubb’s security equipment and staff in the Philadelphia area and will be the primary point of contact with law enforcement and first responders on all security matters
  • Support other facets of Global Security, including investigations support, site assessments, project planning, and other tasks as assigned by GSSBCM leadership
  • Provide on-site security (Executive Protection) for senior executives based in Philadelphia
  • Supervise and manage all assigned personnel and security contractors/consultants assigned to the Philadelphia area office
  • Work with service providers, planning for optimum utilization of personnel and equipment to provide adequate coverage and capability to detect and respond to security or emergency incidents
  • Respond to medical emergencies and direct her/his security team to expedite first responder arrival to the Chubb space
  • Provide training, support and guidance for access control and visitor management
  • Develop and maintain a close working relationship with Chubb’s GSOC and Intelligence Teams in relation to safety and security threats to 2000 Arch Street and the Greater Philadelphia area as well as local law enforcement and intelligence networks
  • Remain current with the capabilities, service standards and equipment of vendors of security equipment and services
  • Direct all employees and guests during emergency situations and work with Facilities Manager to schedule emergency drills

  • Minimum of 7 years of public, private or military security
  • Must possess a License to Carry Firearms for the city/county of Philadelphia
  • Experience working or liaising with Philadelphia PD and other local law enforcement strongly preferred
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited academic institution, with a major concentration in administration, business, criminal justice, political science, or security management preferred
  • CPP, PSP, PCI or other professional discipline credential or experience strongly preferred OR must be able to obtain within one year of hire
  • Ability to coordinate first aid and CPR/AED training for employees and identify colleagues to assist with medical emergency situations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of access control systems, CCTV, safety and intrusion control systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work well and interact with a diverse work force, including managing contracted security staff
  • Experienced and proficient in investigative techniques, to include interview techniques, and the laws relating to search and seizure, evidence and civil rights
  • Ability to qualify for the Federal ASO program certification and qualify and carry a firearm
  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders, government agencies, and regulators
  • Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SharePoint; Microsoft Outlook; Web-based communications tools; and internet-based research
  • Ability to travel (potential for 10%)
