• Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer – Automation & API (AI Exposure Preferred)

Role Overview

1. Position Summary:

This role requires strong technical expertise, implementing and supporting the application system on AS400 adhering to IT process improvements that support the NA business areas including, but not limited to, New Business, Billing and compensation, other duties may include transition of product knowledge to project teams, management of communication with the business users for any production issues.

1. Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web, API, and backend testing (using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or RestAssured).
• Create comprehensive test strategies and ensure full coverage across functional, regression, and performance aspects.
• Perform API automation testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate; validate integrations and microservices.
• Drive CI/CD test automation integration with pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, Product, DevOps) to ensure seamless delivery and high-quality releases.
• Conduct functional and end-to-end testing to validate workflows across platforms.
• Utilize AI-based testing tools or approaches (e.g., generative test case creation, ML-driven defect prediction, self-healing scripts).
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to test strategy, code reviews, and best practices.
• Track, analyze, and report key quality metrics to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation and API testing.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright / Selenium / Cypress for web automation.
• Strong experience in API automation (RestAssured, Postman, Karate, etc.).
• Good understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and backend validation.
• Solid grasp of SDLC/STLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.).

Good to Have

• Exposure to AI-driven quality engineering tools (Playwright MCP).
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or agentic AI automation frameworks.
• Cloud testing experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Performance testing exposure (JMeter, LoadRunner, k6).
• Security and compliance testing knowledge.
