Position Summary
Required Qualifications
We are seeking a Junior Data Scientist to join our analytics team and support data-driven decision-making through analysis, modeling, and reporting. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, a solid foundation in statistics and programming, and a desire to grow in machine learning and data-driven problem solving.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in gathering, cleaning, and validating data from multiple sources
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Build and test statistical and machine learning models under supervision
- Support the development of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
- Document methods, assumptions, and results clearly for technical and non-technical audiences
- Help monitor model performance and data quality over time
- Work with senior team members on ad hoc analysis and special projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field
- Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and data analysis
- Proficiency in Python
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Knowledge of Git and version control workflows
- Experience using AI code assistants such as Claude Code or Codex
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Internship or project experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning
- Exposure to machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, etc.
- Experience working with cloud platforms or big data tools
- Understanding of business metrics and how data supports decision-making
