The Fin Solutions Lead Analyst is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions.
Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions, including:
- Participates in formulating and setting strategic direction for the processes, organization, and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions and locations.
- Assists in setting business and information architecture standards for Finance.
- Plays a part in setting and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern policies for global Finance processes.
- Participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applications
- Integrates Finance expertise and Industry expertise within a defined area.
- Advises on standards around which others will operate.
- Leads execution of critical strategic initiatives from the team book of work (BOW).
- Coordinates and contributes to the ideas of the entire function.
- Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Leads process optimizations to streamline processes resulting in simplification, standardization, and gained efficiencies.
- Drives implementation of automation solutions through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Minimum Requirement:
- 6-10 years of relevant experience within the financial services industry
- Leads process optimizations to streamline processes resulting in simplification, standardization, and gained efficiencies.
- Drives implementation of automation solutions through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Leads execution of critical strategic initiatives from the team book of work (BOW).
- Oversee, manage and support QATV tooling enablement and business process improvement
- Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree, potentially Master’s degree
- Understanding of financial reporting and testing requirements.
- Stakeholder management, facilitation, and excellent communication.
- Lean Six Sigma process improvement experience and knowledge of methodology
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and build strong partnerships.
- Must be a proactive, goal-oriented strategic thinker, nimble, comfortable in a dynamic environment, and ability to pivot quickly as priorities change.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically.
- Experience in preparing and delivering senior executive-level presentations with excellence.
- Data analysis, profiling, and reporting.
- Quality assurance and risk management.
- Governance and oversight.
- Analytical skills for issue identification and resolution.
- Must have strong knowledge and experience with SharePoint and Access DB.
- Experience using JIRA, Confluence, PTS 2.0, Workflow, and emerging technologies.
